    Default Hospital records

I had a traumatic birth 8 months ago. I had a private obstetrician looking after me and will be going to her when I fall pregnant again. I was wondering if she would have access to the records from ds birth? I would like to go through them with her as some of it is a blur and so I can make an informed decision whether to go natural again or have an elective c section. In my mind there's no way I could do natural again but I'm wondering if talking about it with her would help.

You will most likely have to apply to the hospital for them then take them to her to be discussed.

Not sure if it's different state by state (I'm in qld) but my ob was able to get my previous birth record from a different hospital. He just did it for me so I didn't have to worry about it! Perhaps talk with your ob first. I know in qld its a bit of a long process to apply to see your own records so you might find it quicker going through your ob.
