Default Baby measuring small at 19 week scan

Hi ladies, does anyone have experience with this please? I had my morph scan today when I should be measuring 18+4 (I know my date of ovulation). Instead I'm measuring 17+5. All other scans have been pretty much spot on. I'm really freaked out

By this stage your child's own unique characteristics are coming out, thus why this late is no good for dating. Early on they tend to grow uniformly with gestation but by half way through you find their measurements can be all over the place.

I wouldn't stress too much. My first 2 kids measured around a week behind too. They were born small. Nothing at all wrong with them, they are healthy happy kids. They just were small babies and even now aren't big kids. Your bubba may well just be a little tike. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong

Should be fine hun. My DD always measured about a week behind and she was born a lovely little bub, just 6 pound 5 but perfect. 4.5 years on she's now the tallest in her kindy class.

You said you should be 18+4 because you know when you ovulated but how far along should you be based on the early dating scan?

I've had heaps of early scans due to bleeding so that's hard to say. It's always been around correct for my date of ovulation, sometimes a couple of days bigger, sometimes a couple of days smaller. Never anything significant.

My DS measured 2 weeks small until I was 30 weeks then his body measured too big with a small head and legs. He is now 2.5yo and absolute perfection

How is the fluid around Bub? If that's fine then I wouldn't worry too much. My bubbas head measured really small compared to the rest of her at my 20w scan and she's fine. She was just supposed to have a small head.

This is on my list to ask. When we were discussing the scan yesterday I did ask if there was anything wrong and they said no but I don't really trust that!

Please try not to worry even though I know that's easier said than done! I totally get how anxious pregnancy after loss can be.
Just wanted to say I had an early morph just before 18 weeks and bub measured in the 16/17 week range. I've had 2 further specialist scans for unrelated issues and at 20 weeks bub measured a few days ahead and then at 24 behind again. All growth measurements from latest scan were around the 25-40 percentile and my OB didn't bat an eyelid just said bub is going to be similar sized to my first which was 3.3kgs. Growth is individual after the first tri.
I hope your OB can ease your worries x
