    I work for a bank
All of our recruitment is done online.
It does not hurt to go and talk to the manager of your local branch to understand if there are any positions available or becoming available. It is also important to remember that most banks are a retail environment meaning that there is often pressure to meet sales targets, so selling products or services needs to be something you can do.

Hi, I worked in a bank for 10 years before having kids. It is a great career, I started at a branch while at uni and by the time I left was a high level commercial manager. Most banks recruit online, it might also be worth looking at tafe for a business course in banking or financial services to show that you are keen. Good luck!

Keep an eye on seek. A lot of the banks either advertise themselves or use recruitment companies that advertise through seek.

Have worked in a bank for nearly 7 yrs.
Keep an eye on seek, pretty sure that is where my first role was advertised (through a recruitment agency). Also have a look at the bank website, some have jobs advertised there as well.

Any customer service/sales experience will help as those skills are transferable.

I got my bank jobs through expression of interest on the banks website. Got 2 jobs this way and was offered a 3rd.

Not to sound like I'm trying to be a downer

What kind of skills do you need?? I'm an assistant manager in retail and banks keep rejecting me for positions. And all I apply for is teller positions. (Can never find anything else
