    Default Mastitis??

    So I woke this morning with a sore right boob he hurts when DS feeds on it but now that the day has gone on its now red on the top on my nipple and a bit above that as well it's super sore and I have a really bad headache and my body hurts i also don't have a fever my temp is 36.4 and I'm feeling quite nausea, is this mastitis or something totally different ???

    Take some Panadol and nuerofen for now (I was told this by a midwife) and rest if you can. I know it hurts to feed from it but you need to keep draining it, try different positions to get all the ducts, something warm on the blocked ducts and massaging them towards your nipple if you can too. I hope your feeling better soon!

    I've just taking some Panadol so hopefully that reliefs some pain I'm still feeding on the side but it hurts so bad!! Okay I'll try a warm washcloth and massaging too!

    You could have a warm shower and hand express while you are in there to help drain it.

    I do have mastitis my boob isn't even that engorged but I'm getting worse I've got antibiotics to take so hopefully it will help soon!!

    Much much better!! It's gone! I didn't end up getting a lump the size of a gold ball under my boob but it went away with allot of feeding and expressing on that side and the antibiotics!! How come it doesn't alert me when people reply sorry!!
