Do you leave the door open when it's empty?

I have a bosch front loader as well. 5kg and about 5 years old.
I have had no issues with it but don't think it's a spectacular machine or anything. However it's the only front loader I've owned so can't really draw any comparisons.
I've not had any issues with mould in the seals but I always leave the door open when not in use.

I have a 7.5kg LG front loader. Had it about 7 years and it's been fantastic despite being flogged to death lol

Yup door has been left open from day one.
From the reviews I've read online about this particular model, it seems to be a common problem.

Is yours the maxx classic? I wonder why some have mould issues and others don't? Do you have much airflow in your laundry?

We have a Fisher & Paykel Aquasmart 7.5kg. You use front loader powder in it. It was in storage for 12 months whilst we built our house and it runs like new. Got it 7 years ago now.

ok, so I used the lg for 3 loads so far, still a little confused by all the gadjets. Anyone care to share their experience and thoughts and dome insight please.

And...can you put napisan in the detergent dispenser with washing powder?

    Thanks

We mostly use the 30min quick wash. Yes you can put napisan in with the detergent. We only use half the amount of detergent that the bottle/box says and it still washes well. Don't use softener!!! It is the quickest way to kill your machine. If you want to use something use white vinegar. We also always leave the door open when not using it. Oh, and the door will stay locked for about 2min after the load finishes.

Really? No softener? I didn't read that in the book, unless I mis read.
Our door has little vents so air does go through when washing and when not in use. Wonder if we have the same machine. Mine is lg wht9556 I think.

No mines a front loader so forget the less detergent thing but definitely don't use softner. It's the absolute worst thing for a washing machine and not good for your family either. Google it to find out what it can do to people and washing machines. Toxic stuff!!!!
