My son is moving out of home and my mum and I are thinking of getting him a washing machine as a gift. Will probably go with another LG but have also been looking at Beko. Apparently they are very popular in Europe.

I have a Simpson 9.5kg top loader. Got it from seconds world as a factory refurb. It's a pretty good machine.

    Beko 7.5kg Front Loader

Absolutely love it. The model we have had fantastic reviews online from multiple pages (I reviewed every single model I was interested in from different brands and it was the best review wise).

It has tonnes of settings including antibacterial settings and pet settings. The guy in the shop said they are very popular in our area for people with horse rugs because they are durable.

They have an extremely strong hinge on the door (you can pick the machine up by the door and it won't bend the hinge) unlike the LG I really liked. At the shop the guy even got us to lift a few machines, the LG model I liked included by the door and then after, gently push the door closed and see if they still line up. The Beko lined up/shut perfectly, the LG didn't.

Our everyday cycles we use are 47-52 minutes and its a great wash.

My sister has an LG top loader they bought last year and she swears by it. Says she's doesn't like top loaders but finds her one fantastic. It's a little 6kg from memory.

I have a Samsung 10kg front loader washer/dryer. LOVE it! Has a 'stop & add' button that stops the load anytime during the cycle to add that odd sock that I always missed.

I saw LG have bought out a 15kg front loader washer/dryer .... keen to try that one!

I just had to replace my LG front loader (2008 model) today, have replaced it with another LG front loader (second hand but newer model). Despite it dying on us, I loved the machine and happy to buy another.
