Default New mum - mothers group?

    Hi everyone
I'm new to bubhub and was just wondering my little one is 3 weeks old and I was wondering about mothers groups? I live in Waikiki. My friend said normally you get a call asking if you want to join but I haven't heard anything. I'm not sure how to find out about them. Would love for my little girl to meet some bubbas her age to start some lasting friendships! Please help

Congrats on your bub... Just give your child health nurse a call they are usually formed through the post natal classes you do at your local health centre... Your hospital should have filled out your purple book with your clinic number :-)

Definitely call the MCHN. I was further south when I had DD and I called at 4 weeks asking about it. Turns out I'd been missed somewhere on some list and thankfully they could squeeze me in to the group with bubs all born within a few weeks of each other.

Down the track, you might also want to give the playgroups WA website a look, as there will be heaps of multi-age playgroups in your area. Rhyme Time at the library is also a great way to socialise (I used to go with another mum from our MCHN group so it was less daunting).

Yep MCHN will have the info. Im new to the area, not far away from you infact. My MCHN gave me the info, unfortunately I couldn't get care for my toddler in time( only bubs can go) so I wasn't able to go but I called a few play groups so hopefully we meet some new mummy and bubbies that way.
