@bella25 that's fantastic news! Hope your little bubba keeps growing big, strong and healthy.
@StillHopeful, all the best for this round. Go frosty! Go!

Afm, I meet with my specialist Friday next week to see if there is any way I can squeeze in another cycle before my trip to Japan in May. Very unlikely, because of the intralipids we need, but I'm really hoping - I don't think I can cope with another long wait between cycles.

Good luck @StillHopeful Hope this is the one!

@freakedout44 I hear you on not wanting a long wait - it's awful when you just want to get going again! Hope you can manage to squeeze that cycle in before you go on your trip...

Afm, getting darker positives on FRER, and have now gone from Pregnant 1-2 to Pregnant 2-3 on clearblue digital, so I guess my HCG is still rising. I'm officially 5 weeks today. The thing is though, and I don't even really want to admit this to myself, I've been having a funny pain in my right side since early this morning. It's not severe by any means, but it's there. Almost like ovulation pain, or a stitch from exercising. I have made a deal with myself that if it's not gone by lunch time or gets worse before then, I'll ring the FS. I was planning to have another BT tomorrow and a scan on Friday anyway, but I'm thinking I might need to bring it forward. I hate this. Really really hoping this isn't an ectopic.... surely if it was the pain would be worse??

@MrsChino I hope for your sake it's constipation and wind you've got (quite common in early pregnancy). I have heard that ectopic pain is debilitating so fingers crossed.

Oh yes @ScubaGal bowel issues would be awesome! Never thought I'd see the day when I would be hoping for a bit of wind

I was ALMOST going post this on my Facebook page so everyone gets the message without me constantly having to address awkward implications of 'So when are you guys going to have babies??' but then decided I didn't want all the 'Ohhhhhhh I'm sooo sorryyyyy'. What? Sorry that medical science can help me? Take your pity elsewhere annoying friend!

I just wanted to pop in - I've been following you all quietly while I am on my own journey - just found I am a bit slow and the thread moves way to quickly for me to keep up with!

I just had to say @MrsChino, I hope and have everything crossed that it's just a slow starter and not an ectopic pregnancy!!
I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies - both have presented quite differently.
My first ectopic my DD had just turned 1 a few days before hand (a Clomid baby so I wasn't expecting to be pregnant) and I didn't realise I was pregnant, had a few minor pains every now and again - kind of stitch like, but brushed it off to get through her birthday and party. 2 days after I was doubled over in the most excruciating pain I had ever been in. I was convinced it must have been my appendix except it was the wrong side. Off to ED at 8.30pm, once I found we found out what it was I transferred to my OB who operated the following day. I had a 10-11 week along ruptured ectopic pregnancy and a massive clot attached to my ruptured tube containing 1L of blood from the tube and I had close to 2L of free blood in my abdomen. That was quite painful and it was messy but my OB was shocked I had not presented with symptoms sooner, he could tell by the development of the foetus I was between 10-11 weeks. I just had no pain prior to the couple of days before going to ED.

My second was last May from a Clomid cycle. I knew I was pregnant, but tests were very faint I'd had a light bleed around the time I should have had my period and my hcg at 4w1d was "equivocal" had it retested 3 days later and it was in the 50's, P4 was also low. I was put onto pessaries and had repeat betas every 3 days that weren't rising as expected. I got to about just before 6w and was in pain. Not excruciating pain, but bad enough to take myself off to ED. Again then I transferred to my OB and off to surgery a couple of days later. They weren't able to find it on any U/S as it was so early, and hence the wait for surgery, but it was ectopic and in the fimbral end of the tube where it meets the ovary - probably another reason they couldn't see it on U/S

I guess I just wanted to give you my experiences of ectopic pain and say if in doubt get checked out!

First time around I had no pain till about 10-11 weeks along (but also wasn't aware of the pregnancy).
Second time I had low, slow rising hcg and p4 was low, pain started around late 5 weeks mark.

The pain I experienced is low down sort of behind your hip bone, it's like a sharp radiating pain, and at times throbbing, mine was worse when I moved, took deep breaths and bent over. You can also have some brown bleeding along with the pain.

I have everything crossed that it's not ectopic! But if it continues of you are worried, get checked out!

Just to add too - even at late 5 weeks my hcg never hit high enough to make the digital click over from 1-2 to 2-3 (so I hope that's a good sign for you). My beta hcg in ED was only 102 at 5w5/6d.

Hope this helps you - as long as it is!!

    x

Thank you so much @newmummy85 it is very helpful to read about your experiences, although I'm so sorry that you went through all that. It sounds like you had a horrific time of it.

I still have pain, although it has eased a bit since this morning. It is in the dip inside my hip bone if that makes sense, and is worse when I move (the jolt with each step), sit down heavily etc. I think I will leave it for now (unless it gets worse again of course), and just go along for my next BT tomorrow morning and take things from there. My betas so far have been doubling well, but are still well below what they should be at this stage which is why FS is concerned about ectopic. I also had 5 days of really heavy bleeding and cramping from 3w5d - 4w2d which has stopped now.

My levels so far have been:

    4w0d - 5
    4w2d - 25
    4w5d - 141
    5w1d - ??

Gah! I wish I knew what was going on

    Default IVF/FET in January/February 2015 #2

For reference @MrsChino the clear blue digital threshold for 2-3 weeks is about 250, so it could be anything above that.
