    Default Freaking out!! Help

I am 9 days late for AF! We are not planning anymore kids (we have 2 already) in fact the thought of another makes me quite depressed

Anyway we haven't changed anything with our contraception and I'm sill bf.

My cycle this month went from 31 days to 44 according to the app. The longest it's ever been (while I've been using the app) is 41 days.

What could cause it to be so late besides pregnancy?

Stress. Illness. Being just basically run down. But I think you need to start with a pregnancy test and back track from there if it's a bfn. Fx for AF to arrive swiftly for you! I know when I was still BF'ing though, I skipped periods here and there.

Thanks girls, I've had AF pretty consistently from about 2 months post birth

Also I did a test 2 days ago and it was negative. I am going to get another one today.

If you tested at 7 days overdue and you got a BFN I would think you are safe.

One big reason for being late other than what's been covered (illness, stress) is just simply ovulating late. There were several times when we were ttc that I wouldn't ovulate until day 21 (it was usually day 14-16) then I had a 15 day LP. So 21+15 = 36 days instead of 29ish. You may well have ovulated really late, it can happen every now and then even when you are regular.
