Get yourself a old fashioned money tin. One that you have to open with a can opener. Like the ones in the pic. Every day empty your coins in your wallet/purse into it.

We use a tin like this for gold coins only and open it to pay off Christmas gift laybys.

Default Frugal February simple saving tips.

Subbing. I've got a tight month ahead so I'm gonna make it a frugal one!
My plan of attack so far:
    - meal plan. If I don't my trolley ends up full of stuff I don't really need. But a complicating factor in the is my morning sickness and inability to eat what I cook and I'm cooking less cause I feel so ill. 😔 I'm at a loss as to what to do!!
    - set a budget
    - no unplanned purchases. I'll just avoid the shops a lot (easy for me, I don't like shopping!!)
    - try and sell unused items around the house

That's about as far as I've gotten! Looking forward to reading your tips. ☺️

Subbing. we are trying to be more thrifty lately. A few things that I am doing this month:
    1. No food or drink purchases at work ($3 for coffee and $8 for lunch)- instead, I take salad and a nut bar plus a can of diet coke from home. I also have instant coffee if I need it.
    2. cashing in on some flybuy dollars saves a lot on the weekly shop.
    3. selling a few things on ebay.
    4. I always try to buy groceries on sale, so this week, we are eating a lot of tuna, baked beans for breakfast.
    5. I colour my own hair, but invest in a good shampoo. $20 every 4-6 weeks rather than $130: )

I had a client tell me that him and his mates agreed for a year that they would only use the coupon/groupon/living social/bulk buying deals on all dining, wine purchases, entertainment, haircuts, massages. He was quite the consumer and said he saved thousands. Also he got to experience cuisine that he probably would not have tried. Probably not a great 'savings tip' if you don't live in the city but worth a go if you do.
