    Default Broken toe

Im pretty sure i broke my little toe earlier

Is it worth going to the doctor, or will they just tape it to the next one (which i could do myself)?

It hurts to walk on, its swollen & looks bruised & theres a small lump on the top of it

I took panadol for the pain (im breastfeeding so cant take much else), keeping it elevated as much as i can & icing it. Should i do anything else?

Just what i need right now

Hugs, ive done it before, hurts like a mofo

They just taped mine, said there isnt much else they can do. Sounds like you are pretty much doing everything they would tell you to anyway.

I've broken a toe before... omg it hurts like hell.. feeling your pain! As pp said they'll just tape it if that. Lots of ice and elevation 😊

It really depends where the break is, I would go to the doctor because its always best to get it checked out.

I am off for xrays today because I have possibly broken my big toe or done something else not great to my foot. Better to be safe than sorry

Its not fun but you will be ok I ruptured my ACL when my DS2 was 7 months old and was on crutches in a full leg brace for 3 months. Youd be amazed how much you adapt to make it work

(If I was you I'd totally use this as leverage to get your playpen )

Definitely get a GP to show you how to tape it correctly. I broke a toe and yes the bruising spread right up my foot. I figured it just needed taping, no need to see Dr. A few weeks later I was in for something else, mentioned it and they showed me the correct way to pad and tape it - oh so much better than what I had been doing!
