    Default Donor waitlist in Melbourne

Hi all, we are starting our process this year. We are going to use city fertility in Melbourne with donor sperm. Has anyone used them recently and if so how long was the wait list? We are hoping to get started ASAP so hopefully it's not too long.

    We also used city fertility.
No wait lists for doner sperm (think Melbourne ivf is only one with wait lists)

Oh wow that's great news. Did you find it tricky though because there are no photos?

I actually prefer not knowing what the donor looks like, and hopefully we won't be looking for the donors resemblance in the baby.

Yes you're probably right. Did you go through CFC? How did you find the whole process? Did you feel like you had plenty of donor options? We have our first appointment in two weeks with Anne Poliness. I'm so excited to start this whole journey. I hope it runs smoothly

We are just starting out second cycle at CFC with Anne polliness. No wait list for donors but only a few to choose from for iui but we are happy with the one we chose and think we'd prefer not to have the photo too. Are you doing iui?

Oh wow you're pretty much in the same position as us. Yes we will be doing IUI fingers crossed it works. I've never been told I had a fertility issue (but then again how would I know haha)

We are hoping to get everything moving as fast as possible. Paperwork should be done by next week and then I guess we just have to do the counselling, appointments etc. and choose a donor.

I hope we find one we like. Is it unrealistic to think we might start as early as April?

If your shots and police checks etc are up to date, April is very do-able. Counselling sessions need to be at least two weeks apart, then it's all down to your cycle.
We found donor choice to be fine, if you are cmv+ you will have more to choose from.
We also see Anne Poliness, and think she is awesome. She always has plenty of time, no question is too silly, and she is always willing to explain things. We have also found the clinic to be really good, the nurses are helpful and friendly, and we never feel like we are just a walking credit card or treated any differently for being a same sex couple. They weren't the first clinic we tried, but very glad we made the move.
