    I think they could have used better wording.

    It is sexist to assume 'mummy' is the only one responsible for supervising the child.

    I hate the word mummy. Really hate it. It always sounds whiny to me so therefore I don't like the sign.

    I figure if a kids old enough to read the sign then they are old enough to be able to go to/from the playground by themselves so the signs redundant.

    Why can't grandma let them in the playground? Surely she can climb on top of her walker to open the 'gate?

    Really I love being called Mummy it melts my heart, Mum sounds too grown up!

    Seriously though I think it was pretty thoughtless whoever made it

    I would have used the word parent but it was a guess as to why they might have used the wording they did.
