    Except that's not what people are doing. It's equivalent to the woman I know who named her son after the local drinking establishment. It happened to be a legit first name, but it was absolutely clear that's what the poor baby was named for.
    Also see: parents who name their child Holden.
    Plus, it's a boy's name anyway.
    I think perhaps you may need to lighten up on this one.

    On the contrary, I'd like to think the OP was unaware that the name comes from another culture before she invited people to ridicule it. It's just quite confronting to see 30 people cracking up over a name that clearly doesn't have the connotations in its country of origin that it does here. You guys laugh as much as you want, I just thought you should know that it looks really classless and like none of you realise the name does not have 'bogan' origins.

    And if you read my earlier comment, I am aware that it's a boy's name.
