    Default Confused about HPT result.

    Hi Everyone!

This is my first post although I have been lurking around this forum for some time now.

I did a HPT last night and it was BFN within the 10min waiting window but this morning, I see a weird second line on the strip. Does anyone know how to interpret my HPT? I know it sounds silly but I'm not sure of the second line I see is actually the pregnancy line?

I did another test this morning but it was a BFN.

That's an evap line. If it were positive the lines would be closer together. Chuck out your tests after the 10 minute period so you aren't tempted to re check them! 😊

Yeah it must be an evap as the line is in the wrong spot.

Exactly what the ladies, said. That's an evap, I'm afraid. How many DPO are you?

    Default OPK Tests Multiple Positives

I don't know how many DPO I was when I took that HPT. And here's why:

My OPK results show positive on so many days. It was hard for me to determine exactly when I O'd (not temping at the moment but will start next month).

My cycles are long, around 40/41 and irregular. Last month it was a shorter cycle, 35days. I'm following the SMEP this month so I started OPK from day 12 only because I felt CM. I've never used OPK multiple times like this before (use to just stop when I got a positive) so I don't have a history pattern to compare with.

It's CD22 today. Nearly all the lines are same color or deeper than the control, except CD19. I don't have PCOS but had a cyst removed from my left ovary last August.

Does anyone have any insight as to why there are so many positives?

Sometimes your body gears up to ovulate and fails then has another try later in your cycle.

It is also possible to ovulate twice, generally within 48 hours of the first time. This happens when your body pushes out more than one egg.

These tests are only and indicator of the LH hormone being present in your body, they don't always necessarily indicate ovulation.

Your best bet would be to be taking your basal body temperature every morning and using that in conjunction with your OPK's to figure out which surge is likely to show ovulation.

I hope so, Butterfly39!! But as my luck will have it, I doubt it. I took a digital HPT yesterday (don't know if it's too early to test) it was was clearly a BFN so I'm telling myself no more tests until if AF doesn't arrive.

I've been doing too much symptom spotting and it's driving me insane. I feel light headed and dizzy all the time. Even now sitting here I feel light headed. I've felt weird sensations behind my belly button and twitches in my uterus area. I woke up in the middle of the night, a few days ago because of this weird fuzzy feeling behind my belly button. It didn't hurt but it felt like multiple twinges which would run straight down to my uterus. Haven't had any of those since that night but the twitches in the uterus are still here but come and go.

I'll start temping as soon as I get my hands on a Thermometer.
