Default Return to work and FTB - help!

So confused. I've just returned to work for the first time since having DS (2.3y). I've read up and worked out that FTB Part B will be adjusted according to my start date so I won't owe money. But what about Part A? Is that based off total income?

Also after trying to adjust the child care benefit with my new income estimate it says I have already been overpaid approx $240. Does the benefit not readjust like FTB Part B does? How is one meant to know if they're going to return to work at the start of each financial year? :/
