My son (5.5 yrs) loves his doll. He got it for Xmas when he was 18 months old. It's just your average doll with boy bits. He is very nurturing towards it, it's lovely to watch.

DS2 has claimed 2 dolls as his babies. One is from when I was a kid and is hard and always naked because we don't have clothes for it, the other he pulled out at the op shop and the lady said he could have it for free.
I've seen some handmade ones which are absolutely gorgeous and they make boys and girls ones.

Yep, we did. DS had a little cutey doll that we picked up for about $10 from Myer and was absolutely adorable. He went through a stage of carrying it everywhere, pushing it around the shops in a toy pram, and giving it baths and putting it to bed.

So cute. He got nothing but positive feedback from people who saw him out and about with it.

He's since moved on to other toys. There's nothing wrong with boys playing with dolls. They get just as much joy as girls from caring for toy babies.

Our boy has a doll. I got it from kmart - see photo.
But I don't think it's going to make him a good father!

My ds has an older sister so there are plenty of dolls in our life, he loves them, he's particularly fond of her new baby alive and likes to push her around in the pram and give her her dummy. He also is fond of dressing up like frozen princesses

I brought DS a doll and stroller when I was pregnant (he was 18 months old). He never really played with the doll but he did like the stroller (not for pushing his doll in). I now also have an almost 3 year old DD who has been given a lot of dolls and she almost never plays with them either!

I always buy my children and nephews a doll and pram for their 2nd birthday. My son at two loved pushing his baby around in its pink pram...he like pushing it around in the Tonka dump truck better though
