This is bub hub. Anyone who thinks people won't bring their own personal sensitivities, experiences and values to the table (regardless of which side if the fence they sit on) when viewing this video is in denial. Anyone who thinks this video will be judged and picked apart by one side of the fence but not the other is in denial. Anyone who thinks this video will unify all parents - god bless your optimism but you're in denial too. God bless both booby and bottle feeders because nowdays who really gives a crap how a baby is fed, I don't.

Imagine a world where people put their energy into real issues.. Instead of a television commercial.

Well I am against infant formula advertising but not sure if it is allowed in America, but I liked the ad.

I've got 3 kids and my parenting has differed with each child. One approach doesn't suit all. My kids are individuals. I feel I could relate to all of those stereotypical mums in the ad. I have been the working mum, the sahm, the ff, the bf.

I'm done with having kids but I don't feel the ad would sway me to ff if I had another bub. However if bf didn't work out, I would not feel bad about using formula.

Whats wrong with formula advertising? Why is BF liberating and FF is not? I would think having a happy fed baby is the main thing.

Default YOU (yes YOU!) need to watch this!

Please don't quote, I'll delete the pic later.

I am staunchly against the "breast is best" message since having DS. I fed him exclusively at the breast for five months, I believed I was doing the right thing because "breast is best" was drilled into my brain. He is my first child and I didn't know what we were experiencing wasn't normal. He screamed all day long from hunger, I didn't know and I thought that's just what babies do. I thought it was normal for him to be skinny. Yeah, he was struggling to gain weight but he was gaining. Despite me seeing several health professionals over the course of that five months he still ended up looking like this at five months old and weighing a measly 3.862kg:

So yeah, maybe this ad has been put out there by a formula company and maybe it is somehow promoting the idea that it is okay to use formula but I don't think that's a bad thing and from my experience it's certainly less dangerous than the years of "breast is best" that has been promoted by companies like Medela who are making just as much money off breastfeeding as formula companies are making off formula feeding.

Oh and we still breastfeed each morning and if he's upset during the day, I will give him boob as well. I love breastfeeding but most of his calories from five months on have come from formula and he is now thriving. Without it, he would not have survived on my breast milk but I was so staunchly behind the "breast is best" motto that I couldn't fathom that what I was actually doing was starving my son to avoid using formula. 😢

I have pics of my jaundiced, emaciated ds who did not thrive on breastmilk, Infact it was killing him. Formula saved his life.
