But that was the point of the add Imo. A very well hiddened digg at breastfeeding. (Breast are a sexaul object) covered in let's all love and not judge. After all they are a formula company so what else would expect.
I just saw that part as men will be men. They also corrected themselves. No complaints here.

And yes they are a formula company basically hitting out at how judgey the world is around how we feed our babies - for those of you who wish to or need to formula feed, here we are - don't let anyone judge you as there's enough judging going on around the place.

You may be right. But I think they were satirising how breasts are so sexual just as they are satirising the formula mum, the bfing mum, the cloth nappy one. So I think they are agreeing how sexualised breasts are.

I love how divisive we have managed to make something designed to unify.

It may have been, but I think the message rings true....what we all do we do for our babies/children and we shouldn't lose sight of that while grappling for the moral high ground of parenting.

I breastfed my DD for just under 20 months, which was great, go me, Except I did while a mammary fistula was causing me to develop an allergy to dressings I had to wear to keep my open wound clean and not rubbing on the band of my bra. I did a good thing for my child but maybe someone should have given me permission to take care of my own body, permission that I wasn't about to give myself.

I love you but I don't believe this or any advertisement is designed to unify. An ad is designed to sell a product. I do think the sentiment is lovely but I guess the cynic in me is just too strong.

Perhaps the words *designed to* were misplaced, but I do believe that it had a unifying message. Of couse it is an ad, of all of the *groups* represented, formula cos are the only profit making enterprise (as far as I'm aware the crunchy mums don't have the capacity to bankroll something like this).

Default YOU (yes YOU!) need to watch this!

It's a clever ad but I think it's a bit of a reach to say it's a lovely ad meant to bring us all together no matter our parenting style. I don't mean that in an anti-formula feeding or breastfeeding or drug-free birth or whatever way. I mean it in that it is a company trying to make money and they came up with a clever way to get everybody talking about them. I would say that no matter what product was being pitched. I didn't feel moved by it all, just thought it was smart, but maybe that's because it was already hyped up before I watched it.
