Default Day 5 blasto FET on day 4?

Family history with GD and diabetes. My last random glucose after lunch is also slightly elevated so it does seem like I have problem after eating. This is after I went off steroid. Well, got the copy of the result. As expected, it is elevated (9.4 and normal is less than 8). I don't know if it is significant. OB probably just tells me to go on diet.

Also another thing....the urine test suggests that I have UTI?! Huh?! I don't feel anything unusual with any described symptoms. It looks like my strategy of taking elevit every other day works. Iron level back to normal but red blood counts is lower than normal. Weird...because iron and red blood cells are correlated to each other!

@bbhope maybe that's borderline and diet control will be all you need. Which is not necessarily a bad thing because it's healthy for you and bub.

Yes that's odd. My dr looks at red blood cells together with results to determine iron sufficiency. And that's really weird about the uti. Maybe it's early stages?

@bbhope are you on antibiotics for the uti? I think it's easily treated? Oh no about your glucose level. Under 8 is good after a meal or under 6 before breakfast. 9.4 is slightly high but probably not really really high? With a bit of diet management, hopefully it will stay under 8. It can run in the family so it's not something you've done plus GD is very common for certain race.

I am not sure about the UTI. I read that the common sign is pain when you wee? I really don't have any symptom whatever so a bit surprised to see elevated white cell in urine. It says trace of protein but.....it isn't highlighted as abnormal. I am going to ask OB about it because trace of protein can be an early sign of pre-eclampsia.

Ya, glucose was normal before the sweet drink. 9.4 is at 2hr mark after the drink. I have read about the diet control -- actually more like a weight loss diet control by looking at the list of food to eat. LOL. Judging from the head size, bub is on track. Perhaps i need a proper scan to determine the weight etc. I'll ask OB about it.

It is common sign if it hurts when you wee but I also had some bacteria in my urine early in the pregnancy. Around 7 week mark. I had no pain nothing. Ob said quite common as pregnant women are prone to a lot of things. It wasn't an infection yet but he said to be safe just have some antibiotics. Safe for the pregnancy and no harm to baby. All good now.

I also had an early pre eclampsia screening at my 13 week scan. Took some blood, blood pressure and some scan. All came back good. I ask the sonographer why do it at 13 week I've never heard of people doing it so early. She said normally a lot later but the clinic I went to is a pioneer and one of the two clinics in Australia to offer it at 13 week. It was free so I just said ok.

Oh that's after the drinks. Yeah I know someone who has to watch the diet because of diabetes. After a while, it's very manageable. But had to change from jasmine rice as it's too starchy. Lucky this person has no sweet tooth anyway so it's more managing the carb and the right type of fruit.

When are you seeing ob? You could have another scan maybe for a peace of mind.

@Minib your friend is lucky they don't have a sweet tooth. I'm finding it so hard managing mine. Never really had one before pregnancy. If I do get GD I don't know how I'm going to manage food wise. It's so hard now jut reducing sugar intake but to cut it out completely? May drive me bonkers!

Good on you for doing a budget. It just all adds up doesn't it!

How many weeks are you now? I can't remember if you'd had ur 20 week scan? Are you feeling any kicks yet?

@bbhope that's good you got your results as didn't have to wait until you saw your OB. I have to wait 1 week before I get my results.

    I'm 19 weeks now @Gelati

I think I felt the first kick tonight? Not strong but definitely more than flutters.

My 20 week scan is next week.

I'm quite ok without sweet stuff too. Dont really have sweet tooth.

No idea about UTI. Seeing OB on Fri. I also just notice that there is trace of protein in the urine on the report. It isn't highlighted but maybe a concern for pre-eclampsia. I hope NOT! I didn't have any trace for my 8w test.

I had cut out all sugar for quite a while. No dessert, chocolate, no sugar for tea etc. Food wise, i think carb is mainly the problem. Recently, I started craving sugar again but I only limit adding sugar to tea. That's it. Still, getting GD. No unexpected but feel like all the effort for cutting out isn't helping. I was told that GD will only get worse into the pregnancy. Honestly, i have done a bit of diet control before the test. Unless the OB writes out a diet plan for GD, and let me do handheld monitoring, I don't know what more i can do. I thought i am done with needles........

I would be surprised if you haven't felt the kick @Minib since you have posterior placenta! I am very grateful to be able to feel bub so much these days with an anterior placenta. Sometime i feel like he never sleeps. LOL.

Good that you make a budget. I just hope that my OB/give birth cost will be under $4k. We are stretching here to go priv. The biggest cost was the interstate IVF + immune treatment .....$30k+ all up. BUT all worth it.
