Default Vitamins and Supplements for pregnancy

    Hi All,
What are the vitamins and supplements that are recommended to be taken for pregnancy (pre and during)?
I have read lots of mixed reviews and am not sure what are the ones that we must take.
    Thanks!! 😊

Hi Lupita, my doctor recommended Blackmores Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Gold, for pre, during and after.

There are other formulations out there, I think anything that has everything in it is nice and easy to take. HTH!

My dr recommended only folate (megafol). And because my vitamin D was low i was already taking that. But it doubled after i got pregnant.

My Dr recommended blackmores as well however they didn't agree with me so said if you eat a well balanced diet folate and iodine are all I really need. I also have low vitamin d and take those daily. Speak to your Dr for their recommendations too

My dr also said folic acid is really the only added extra you need to take if you already have a well balanced diet and aren't lacking in any vitamins specifically. He thinks vitamins are a waste of money! I don't trust my diet enough so he said to go with elevit as it is a long trusted brand.
