Default Formula feed babies needs extra water?

Does a formula baby needs extra water to help poop?
I remember my other kids pooped like crazy everyday and the texture is always watery seedy. They were breastfed exclusively.
DS2 is almost 3 weeks and he only poops once a day and the texture is like peanut butter. Should I be giving him some extra water? I try to mix feed, but he seems to prefer formula.
    Thanks!

I think that's normal for a formula fed baby. Both of mine were breastfed for the first few months but once on formula they would poop 1-2 times a day and it's thicker than BF poop.

I wouldn't give plain water until after 6 months old.

My DD has been FF from birth. Peanut butter texture is normal for her so i would say normal across the board. And once a day has also been standard after the mec poos.

Sounds pretty normal. My midwife did tell me that if bub was having trouble with pooping to give her a bit of water but what you described sounds normal. Formula poop and breast milk poop are pretty different (from what I have heard, I could be wrong).

I've had 2 FF babies - what you described sounds normal, no need to give extra water. Only once or twice did I have to give brown sugar water for constipation - ie a few days without poos
