Default Melatonin- when did you stop?

    Hi ladies,
Quick question for anyone who has used melatonin- when did you stop taking this?
My naturopath has prescribed some, but Im a bit wary as to when to stop it (i.e in the event of BFP?). He says its fine to keep taking, but I just wanted to hear what some of your FS' might have told you regarding this.
    Thanks in advance

@Jk565, i was taking it for 2 months before the next cycle and stopped day before ER. Unfortunately it didn't do anything for me as the result was same, 1 egg only. I was told to take it by my first clinic FS but was laughed (sort of) at my second clinic FS. So maybe check with yr FS as well. Fingers crossed!

Mine was also prescribed by my FS and I was instructed to take the last tablet the night before egg pick up.

Thanks ladies. My naturopath prescribed it for sleep and stress reduction, rather the. To improve egg quality. It really works for me as a sleep aid and I thought I should find out when to give it up!

Default Melatonin- when did you stop?

Interesting. Fs told me to stop at day 5 injection. I was on it a month or so before starting the cycle.

It didn't really do anything for me in term of sleep, though.

My FS told me to start taking it right from the beginning of my cycle and I'm still taking it (transfer tomorrow) until told otherwise.
I think is supposed to help egg quality, sleep and also something to do with improving the quality of your uterine lining.
I figure it's just one more thing to add to the collection, so why not give it a go.
    All the best.

I was prescribed from my FS to take melatonin, CoQ10, Inistol (sp), and DHEA to help improve egg quality and to take everything until your blood test that says your BFP... Now except for the DHEA you can get over the counter... And I must say it worked for me and for a friend of mine (who didn't take the DHEA)

    Prior to taking above cocktail
1st cycle no eggs at collection, only three follicles

    Only just started above cocktail
2nd cycle - 4 eggs but no transfer eggs didn't make it

After 14 weeks of taking above cocktail
3rd cycle - 7 eggs, 100% fertilisation, 1 transferred (due 29th March), 5 on ice. Only one didn't mature fast enough to be frozen, but I was told that it would have been good enough to implant if I wouldn't have had better quality to choose from

Now my friend that I told this cocktail too, she is now pregnant with twins (she had two transferred) after 6 tried and failed cycles.

Only other thing we did... DH was also taking the melatonin and he was also on Arimediex to help improve sperm quantity and quality as he had a low testosterone issue and low count as well...

Let me know if you want dosages or where you can get these thing cheaply.. Always happy to help.
