Well its reconvened that u keep it on for 5 years but we tell patients to keep in on forever due to teeth will always move abit after having braces or Invisalign done so you get use to having it on so you may aswell keep it on

I had invisalign a couple of years ago now, one of the best things I've ever done!

I have a wire on my bottom teeth, the dentist said to just keep it on forever. He put it on in a zig zag pattern though so that it I can easily floss. You may want to ask for that so that you don't have thread your floss through every time.

I so want to get this! I have a really big gap between my front teeth that I'd love to have fixed.. You're all referring to dentist and not orthodontist, do you just go to a regular dentist?

Also, I have very crowded and overlapping bottom teeth, can invisaline (sp?) help there?

I just said dentist cause its easier to type :P I did go to an orthodontist.

I has bad overcrowding both top and bottom. For the top the ortho filed down between my teeth to create more space. On the bottom the overcrowding had caused decay to one of the front teeth, so we actually decided to pull that tooth to create more space. So I have 3 teeth across front at the bottom. A good ortho should be able to present you with options.

Some dentist do Invisalign they all get trained the same so dosnt matter if it's a orthodontist or dentist Invisalign works the same for both if your local dentist does it your better off just getting it done there it's your choice

It just goes to show that you're harsher on yourself than anyone else is. I've never noticed a gap in your teeth!

Out of curiosity, those of you who have or have had gaps in your teeth, do you have an upper lip tie?

littlelove are your bottom teeth the ones that needed the most work ...was that the reason behind having to have the wire placed on them????
and is the wire on the front or back of your teeth...?
    TIA
