I think it's different and cool without being too kooky! I love the name Vincent though (it's a family name) and I definitely don't think it's "popular" - would it be in the top 100?! And yep, go with your gut and choose the name you and your DH love, people get used to names very fast

I actually don't mind it, I wouldn't pick it but it doesn't sound made up or anything which is always a plus!

I'm not a fan, does the book say the origin and meaning of it?

I also don't think Vincent is too popular and I wouldn't worry too much about bad nicknames, kids can make nicknames out of anything. You'd be hard pressed to find a name someone can't make a nickname out of and if you do, they'll just find some other defining feature to create a nickname.

I think it just said 'Could be a variant of Vinson' which doesn't really make sense to me..

Thank you all so much for your inputs! From the first few replies I thought it was out but it's a bit mixed haha

I don't really like it. Vincent is better, and IME not popular.

It's not a name that l would pick, but it doesn't sound that bad to me. I prefer it over Vincent.

I don't think that Vincent is that popular. All the people I have met with that name have been over the age of 30.

    Same here.
To me, Vincent is a real old man's name.
