Default Where to buy a last minute birthday cake?

I've left it til the last minute and I need a children's birthday cake for my DD tomorrow, any ideas where I can get one?

I'm in Brisbane, preferably somewhere on the south side and I just need something small to feed 8-10 people. TIA!

Coles here in wa quite often do cakes such as sponge Bob and peppa pig in their bakery or fridge section. Maybe you could check your local Coles or Woolworths?

Probably not what you're after but Safeway/woolworths have children's b'day cakes (peppa pig, Elmo, abc etc). They are usually were the breads are.

I ordered a cake from Ferguson Plarre the day before I needed it. It was delicious.

Thanks for all the replies! I was thinking of coles/woolies as a last resort. I checked out cheesecake shop but they didn't have anything small. They have large children's cakes that start at about $40, probably a bit much for 8 people.

When I was younger mum used to get cakes for us from a local bakery but it's long closed down; can anyone recommend a bakery that does nice cakes that you don't need to pre order?

Have you tried the little bakery chain called Bread Top or 2 in 1 bakery? They're Asian run bakeries that sell loads of stuff including little birthday cakes. The 2 in 1 at indooroopilly shopping centre does little cakes that look like puffer fish, teddy bears and angry birds! Bread top do DELICIOUS little puppies. There's a 2 in 1 at Chermside and Helensvale.
