Can I ask what you mean by this, Nomsie? Surely if they were at school last year you wouldn't have to update again? Or is this an annual thing (updating to say they are still at school)? If so, I did not realise we had to do that...!

I can't multi quote but thank you all for your words and concern. I'm just not strong enough to leave and stay away so I don't see the point. Things are bad but not bad enough that he isn't able to make me feel better.

At the end of last year DF was changed onto a lower paying shift, which also cut my ability to be called in to do casual teaching work. So as a result, our annual income fell well under the 100k per year cut-off. That needed to be updated before Jan 1st, but I didn't do it until the 6th.
I thought it may have been what you were saying- surely they would know I have two school aged children since I did all that last year, and I did log in to the app and saw that it said they weren't attending school (must be default, because once I logged onto the full site all the details were correct?) so I had to call and give them a 'what-for' type thing.. he left me on hold for another 5 minutes (after holding for over 30 minutes and being cut off after an additional 10!) to find out what was wrong because on paper, I do meet all the criteria.
I'm feeling ok about it all today, just bummed. I really wish I had of realised there was a cut-off... but I suppose they don't want to advertise these things too loudly.. the more people that miss the cut off, the less they have to fork out (Actually I will get the money, but not until the second installment of the school kids bonus half way through the year.. no help to me now though!)

I see! Thanks for explaining. I am going to go investigate whether I got the money. That really is crappy for you, they don't make it easy

    Hugs hun

    I am embarrassed and annoyed.
Neighbor just came to check on me because of my loud string of expletives. I dropped my lunch on the floor. But I must explain that I was looking forward to it since shopping on Sunday. And I was too busy acting like some kind of Katy Perry back up dancer that I hadn't cleaned the floor yet so no 3 second rule.

    Toast it is!

Eta I told her there was a big spider because well some things just don't need to be said
