No thank God. The council have been working on it today after I put a pic up on their facebook page.

That usually gets swift action. Lol. Im glad it's not getting bigger at least.

I am painting our kitchen and we are using dulux wash and wear (cos dp wanted the tin of jelly beans) and it's not going on even on the second coat! It's a beigey colour going onto white, assuming the walls are straight white ceiling paint done by previous owners as the colour and texture was the same as the ceiling. It's drying all streaky for some reason.

Eta: and now I better go put pants on because the neighbours behind us are out their backyard, we have low fences and the curtain has been taken down of our glass back door that I'm painting around. My pants fell off because they were loose so I left them where they lay after struggling to keep them up for ages.

I am looking at all these old photos of when I went to school.
The school is renovating and they discovered a wall that everyone that was there on the first day the school opened signed. Mine was easy to spot. My j was backwards. It was my first day of grade 1.

I didn't know there was a cutoff either. I'm thinking now that we've missed out too. It's DS1'S first year of school and I didn't know I had to change anything after I told them last year he would be starting this year. Centrelink makes things a lot more difficult than they need to.

I wish I had the strength of will to leave my horrible husband. He has taken everything from me.

No idea about the centrelink side of things but DD is starting school this year too. One of the handouts during orientation said the school provides everything needed for kindy kids but other years are given a list. I'm assuming we'll get $ added to school fees for it? Perhaps your school is the same?

We don't need to buy books or stationery, we just need to get his shoes, a drink bottle and paint shirt. We are extremely lucky that my Dad decided he would buy his uniform. We can get by without the money unless they throw in a lot of extra things to pay for. If Dad hadn't helped we would have needed it.

Feeling like I am doing something right for a change... chatting with my grandma the other day about life and she got all teary and said how proud she was of the woman I have become and how proud she is of what I have achieved... nobody has ever said that to me before. And she is not the type to get emotional or verbalise her feelings!
