Oops sorry I meant to quote nomsie's post where she mentioned her employer had not offered her a position after her leave.
Yep this is correct - it's included in the NES which everyone is entitled to regardless of employer, awRd, agreement, etc.

I ordered what we needed off the booklist.(and could have had it delivered but opted to pick it up which I regret now because I have to go pick it up in torrential rain with 3 kids haha) But DS1 still had a heap of pencils, coloured pencils, glue, markers, library bag etc leftover from last year so I just didnt order those things. Cut his list down to $50 from $110ish.

I was .8 on contract which expired dec 13. (Dd was born 08/13).
The school would have me back if they could no issue- parents have requested my return. But it's a small school and numbers keep falling an so cannot employ me again without letting a current staff member go. It's a bit complicated since I am actually the longest serving staff member out of all 3 teachers there but with my two lots of maternity leave etc I have missed out on ongoing twice. At 31 years old am still forced to look for contract work in an occupation that is under supported by the govt by forcing schools To employ inexperienced staff because they are cheaper. I could rant about my current issues with the vic state school system for hours

State school. No one is really very happy with the prin but it seems everyone is entirely powerless to do anything about it. SIL is on staff and so I have extra insight "behind the scenes". No one on staff likes her very much at all. She adheres to the authoritarian model of management. She calls it "her" school (as opposed to "our" to involve all staff) and threatens them if they don't conform with her beliefs about the way a classroom should be run then they either won't have a job next year if they are on contract, or if they are ongoing they will be put in the 3/4 rooms with the challenging students.

I'm not feeling 100% today and my bubba won't sleep. So we're snuggling on the couch watching "Santa Paws" (her favourite). She has just drifted off so I'm glad to be stuck here with her :-)

So sad I love Roger. I would happily have his babies. (I don't even think DH would mind lol)
