I think the above points ^ sound very feasible @[Mod] Nomsie and I think you would regret not having some one on one (honeymoon time) with your DH. My sister and her dh already had their sons when they got married and so had a wedding etc with no honeymoon with the 'intention' they would down the track. It's been nearly 7 years now and with no sign of a 'honeymoon' (despite them having several holidays as a whole family) and she is regretful at having not done it at the time of their wedding.

'World' passes can be cheaper if you ask Qld friends for their 'Entertainment Book' discount vouchers and/or ask family or friends for passes or money towards as their birthday/Christmas presents.

Plenty of places (for free) you can marry at Noosa or Sunshine Coast (my sister married there) and had a celebrant (Celebrant's aren't too expensive) that could all be arranged on the phone or skype.

Despite your fiance having had his 'big, fancy wedding' you haven't, so even though you may not want a big, fancy one, he still has to keep in mind you haven't done this before, and as you said, you want the dress, look beautiful etc.

@[mod]nomsie. I am still waiting on my honeymoon too almost 23 years later.
Hubby mum died on the Monday and we're getting married on the Sunday. So he had the week before the wedding off to see just before she died and to make the funeral arrangements. He flew home the day before our wedding. He had been working at new job a month and they wouldn't let him have anymore time off.

Feeling quite accomplished, just bathed both the kids (3 and 13 days old) all by myself and no one drowned or freaked out. Just need to get mr 3 into bed and asleep and I'll have done a full day on my own! Only four to go
