    @Stretched I wanted to thank you again, specifically for your tip to choose the bias binding first. I would never have thought of that, and would have bought my fabric and got the bias binding later. Having browsed the bias binding and fabric last night, I think I have picked my fabric (pictured) but there weren't any good matches for the green colour, though I could go for grey if necessary.

    You can make your own binding. I never do bias cut binding as it is a PITA, so just cut straight with the grain. It is easier to do a wider binding when making it yourself though.
