I've had no time for sewing lately but had to make a tiny MCN for DS's beloved bear
He's going through a stage where all the toys have to be wearing nappies too so figured the bear should at least get one that kinda fits

    That's so sweet @deku.

I haven't had much time to sew anything that interesting lately but I'm itching to make some fun things. I got a small refund from Centrelink so I bought some more fabric to play with - hanging out for the postie every day!

I got DD2 a cute mermaid nappy so I made a matching dribble bib the other day.

Is it too late to join this thread? I've gone to my first sewing class. Hopefully I get the hang of it quickly, anyone care to share any tips? Ideas of what basic things to make? Never sewn before except in school.

What sort of things do you want to make?
Eg clothes, quilt/blankets, baby thing likes bibs or nappies etc?

My tip would be to find a pattern with lots of clear instructions when starting out. Also if making clothes, do something basic first to get yourself familiar with the machine and not get overwhelmed with difficult patterns eg. Simple skirt with elastic waistband.
Also there's heaps of videos on YouTube.
