Something a little different for my sewing of late. I found this incredible stuff called Kraft-tex. it's made from paper but feels like leather and is washable!! Love it!!!

Cool! I'm googling Kraft-tex as soon as I'm off the hub. What's it like to sew with?

I still don't have a desk in my sewing room yet, but I got my overlocker today & I've bought some new patterns to try out! I got a super cute ruffly romper, harem pants & a Christmas stocking pattern.
Part of me is hoping this bub is a girl so I can make matching newborn & toddler rompers for the two of them, girly fabric with trims & frills is so much more fun! But making boy outfits will be something different so I'm keen either way.

Crazy easy!! It's just like leather in thickness and feel. The more you wash it the softer and crinklier it gets. But off the roll you can print it, paint it, stamp it, fold it just like paper/card.
I love the fact I didn't have to hem the edges! I added a fabric trim for a roll down style top on my planters.
Waiting to get more in different colour to make some nesting baskets and a few more into hampers
@Koarlo I got mine from unique stitching in Aus. They were the best price for a 1.5m roll I found locally.

Is the Kraft tex only in white/black/beige colours? Anyone seen some navy/royal blue?

Here is my sewing from 1991. Just need some buttons and buttonholes and DD can wear it as a nightie, it is even completely French seamed. ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1437647237.819506.jpg

I think it would look great on a pair of Pom Pom shorts. ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1439089408.949344.jpg
