    Finally added a little belt too. It needed something to finish them off I think

    The coat is from Taddah Patterns. It is their duffle coat pattern 0-12 sizing from
    memory. Costs about $12 for a PDF download. I would recommend paying the extra few dollars to get it printed at office works on large format paper though. Otherwise you have to stick together 20+ pages of the pattern

    Just a regular $99 special from spotlight.
    I think it's an Elna. Sounds like a freight train but it works. Just a by more awkward with larger pieces of fabric but i find using the machine at the end of the dining table and laying the fabric accross to support the weight helps

    I think for sewing heavier fabrics, you just need to use a stronger needle & thread rather than machine. I've done that to sew thick denim before.
