Default How long does it take for your period to return after stopping breastfeeding?

Hi all, I want to do a fet cycle in June if possible to try for a sibling for my daughter before I hit 44!
How long did it take for you to get AF after ceasing breastfeeding? And did you normally have a regular or irregular cycle?
Am I deluding myself that I'll be right to cycle in May/June?

Mine returned about 6 weeks after I stopped breastfeeding and were pretty regular from then.

Good luck with ttc your next bubba!

I got mine back when bub was 7-8 months as he has started sleeping longer and having more solids. I weaned at 9 months but it was never really 'regular' for the next few months. We ended up doing a stimulated FET when he was 12.5 months because of this and ended up with a BFP. My FS said he likes his pts to have ceased BF for 3 months before starting any tmt. As it takes about that long for everything to regenerate. Best of luck, hopefully yours comes back as regular as you can get, I know a lot of people who's did. x

Haha mine came back 4 months post partum both times, while I was still breastfeeding. Couldn't believe the rotten luck!
I had two really long cycles of 34 and 39 days before I started taking vitex and was immediately regular at 28 days again.
Good luck, I hope your cycle does exactly what it needs to so you can have another baby!

Mine started back about 5-6 weeks after stopping BF. It's not regular though.

Mine started again about 4 weeks after I stopped breastfeeding. They have gone back to 28 day cycles but a lot heavier then before I was pregnant.

Mine came back 9 months post partum, while still breastfeeding frequently. It's quite irregular. Longest cycle 36 days. Shortest 27 days. Used to be very regular.
