I think the media has a lot to answer for, causing fear and propaganda

The media isn't causing the fear. That's cause by the terrorists who go around chopping people's heads off.

Yes I just realised that I was reacting from a French perspective.

I disagree, #KillAllMuslims has been trending on twitter, which suggests there are plenty of people out there who are ignorantly blaming 'all Muslims' for these horrendous crimes.

Pull your head in vic park, the media report and sensationalise what they want to. They create fear and hysteria by "reporting" this news over that news. There are so many "white on white " related deaths each year that are not reported. How can one have fear if they don't know about it?

The fact that you used the term "really " means you have heard it though, otherwise you would have said "I haven't heard anyone"

    Just saying

You're lucky, I've had to block some people I went to school and use to work with. I didn't realise how narrow minded, and uneducated they were ( weren't friends just acquaintances) .

It rings a bell but 2011 was a very difficult year for me so no, don't know anything about it.

He killed 77 people. It made international headlines. He was white and made links to religion and politics (so an ideology based attack which generally is a big part of the modern terrorist definition). My point was that there are lots of non-white terrorists but they are rarely called as such.
