Big hugs holly!!! Just caught up on this thread.

Someone posted about charcoal a few weeks ago and it being super helpful, if you could get a mum to get some from the chemist it might help.

I remember being alone in london with a migraine and it was so frightening that I decided to fly home the next month. Being sick and alone with a child would be awful.

I hope it improves quickly for you xx

You need a new GP. Your breastmilk contains antibodies to protect your DS from the virus.

We can't really pick our gps here. You register at a practice and just get whomever most of the time unless you're happy to wait until a GP you prefer is on or is free. I have tried to avoid that particular one before but it was a last minute telephone appt and I had to take who I was given. The GP I normally prefer is on mat leave.

On another note, since I'm venting....

I've felt so emotional and vulnerable all day, like I'm frightened to be alone and don't know how I'm going to last until DH gets back. I so want him home now. I don't normally mind when he goes away and I thought I wouldn't mind this time but pretty much since the moment he walked out the door I've felt frightened I'll never see him again. Obviously my current circumstances combined with now having a baby don't help.

I forgot to take my anti-d yesterday morning and then couldn't take anything today because I have to have it with a meal because it makes me sick if I have it on an empty tummy. I feel like missing two pills is already making my anxiety creep in.

I find gastro scary at the best of times. I am not an anxious or depressed person but I do feel anxious when so sick like that. To help myself stay calm I remind myself that it's just a virus and I will be okay. I repeat this in my head over and over when the anxiety sets in and focus on taking deep breaths at the same time. It helps.
As for your DH... mine travels and most of the time I don't give it a second thought but every now and then I worry that he won't come home. I always feel better when he has landed at his destination. Just don't let the negative thoughtd take control. Distract yourself when they start coming. Your DH has travelled safely every other time. There's no reason for this time to be any different xx

I hope you feel better soon. Are you there permanently and just for a holiday?

Holly hang in there. As soon as the gastro is under control you can take your anti-d's. Hopefully by that time hubby will be settled in his hotel and can give you a Skype call etc

    Default What do I do?

Much more human today thanks! Still a bit off, have only eaten dry toast, crackers and a tiny bit of porridge but I got out for a little walk so definitely on the up! A friend dropped over a little care pack of soup and coconut water, not up for the soup yet but the coconut water was like the best thing I'd ever tasted so I went and grabbed a few more!

Got DS down for a nap without me so laying on the sofa by myself finally with bad reality tv, crackers and and coconut water. Yes!

I was looking up 'pooped pants' in google images (ps beware when you google that, there's some sick people out there) and came across some gems. Was considering a picture change.
