Default 9dpo +OPK but negative HPT

    Hi everyone!
I hope this is the right place to post, I was really hoping I could get some help/insight!

I have recently heard about people using OPK as a HPT and since I had some thought why not!
At 8DPO (yesterday) in the afternoon i got a line not as dark as the test but definitely there
than this morning at 9DPO I got a line as dark as the test but HPT was negative...

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

Did you use the same brand to get your ov day? If it's neg on hpt I would go with that

Im still just hoping it's too early for the hpt.

i didn't use the poas ovulation tests I used the saliva ones to test for ovulation (bought the poas ones then got the very obvious fern pattern and all the ovulation symptoms)

I would think it's safe to say you haven't ovulated yet. To get a 2nd line that strong from HcG as opposed to LH on a cheapie you would need to be much further on than 9DPO. I got a BFP on a IC pg test at 13 DPO with pretty high levels and the line was a squinter. OPK's are even less sensitive for picking up HcG.

If you are getting a neg on a pg test which is much more sensitive to HcG but an equal dark line on an OPK that tells me ovulation is very soon.

Thanks for your thoughts ladies. I honestly don't think I am ovulating or close to it and if I am well that will throw everything that I thought way off i'm currently on CD 26. I got the positive result on the saliva test and had very big signs of ovulation the day before and after and have none now. Have had what could be called early pregnancy symptoms but have tried not to read too much into it.

I vaguely remember getting a delayed positive HPT with my first so still thinking it is still early. Either way I guess AF or a positive will pop up soon
