I know you've already decided to do it but I'll let you know that my doctor and midwife think that shakes are fine. My midwife said that they will not affect my milk at all - if anything happened I would just stop supplying.
The shakes didn't affect my breast feeding at all!

Has anyone done optifast while breastfeeding? I know that on their website it says it's not recommend but my dr seems to think it would be ok. I'm breastfeeding my 8 mo dd, she's eating 3 meals per day and having 4-5 breastfeeds.
If I were to do optifast would it hurt her? I'm thinking that the low calories might just diminish my milk supply?
