We paid just under $560k for ours in July this year. It's in good condition but 20 years old with original kitchen and bathrooms, so we'll spend around $40k on it in the next few years to get it to where we want it. Already spent $10k on the ensuite reno.

A 4-bedder, similar age to ours, around the corner from us is currently on the market for overs over $800k and there are others close to $1 million which are brand new and usually 2 storey with 3 living areas and 3 bathrooms.

We live in a four bedroom house on 40 acres and it was $385K. Of course, it's falling down around our ears and we live in the back of nowhere.

High 800's to 1.5 mil. We have recently moved much close to the city though. The area we lived in for the last few years would have been 400-500,000 depending on condition of the house.

Default How much does a 4 bedroom house cost in your suburb/area?

The suburb we are in (10kms from Adelaide CBD) is about $400k for an old property that needs work or $5-600k for brand new.

We are building and in that suburb (3kms from Adelaide CBD) you won't find a 4br house for less than $800k

For an average 4 bed / 2 bath new home on a pretty standard house block, it's averaging $400,000.
    To rent that, it's $350-400 a week.

    Regional NSW.

    Between $350-$450K probably.

    Renting would be between $300 - $400pw

Obviously there's much cheaper and much more expensive

    Regional VIC
