Default How much does a 4 bedroom house cost in your suburb/area?

Just checked domain and cheapest advertised 4 bedroom house in my suburb was $1.2 million

I was curious as we bought this house in March 2009. It was 3 x 1 at the time and we paid $550k for it and we did an extension. It's now a 5 x 2.

I live in a small country town on NSW/VIC border, the cheapest is $280,000 and the most expensive is $1.6million. We paid $440,000 18 months ago (1.5 acres with a pool).

The Sydney market is still booming , especially the St. George areas and surrounds , it's near impossible to buy any decent house under a million , I had a few sales last year go 3 and 4 hundred thousand over reserve , I think this year will be the same , a new 3br unit in my suburb sold on xmas eve for $1.2

Definitely over $1m. Closer to $1.5m and that is the lower end of the scale.
