Default Should this Anti-Vacc activist be welcomed into Australia?

I thought this was an interesting issue, would be intersted in hearing your thoughts?

I don't think she should be allowed to do a whole tour trying to sway parents to her side on something so important and controversial like the decision to immunise or not. If the talks are going to be very balanced and experts from both sides then fair enough, but doesn't seem like it.

What stands out to me is where it says "promise to help parents “make some crucial decisions.."".
I don't think she will be helping them to make either decision by presenting unbiased facts for both sides and that's what concerns me. They will be pushing their own agenda and some parents will believe what is said because there's no other side at her seminars.

This is just my (somewhat uninformed) opinion and I'm not going to berate someone for quietly making an educated decision for their child but to tour a country telling parents that the only way your child will prosper is to not immunise them .... It's very dangerous.

I see it quite similar to what Freelee and Durian Rider do.

I don't think adults should be dumbed down and nannied to the point of "not being allowed" to access information about topics simply because they are controversial.

She's not just "controversial" though - she's a danger to public health.

Could you imagine if she wasn't allowed? I can see it now; The diehard anti vaxxers would use this as 'proof' that the government is trying to keep us in the dark about all of the things wrong with vaccinations. The conspiracy theories would be taken to a new level.

I'd much rather some experts (the genuine kind, not the likes of Meryl Dorey) attend these seminars and speak up, as well as handing out fact sheets to all of the guests.

If we kick out people with awful dating 'advice' surely we don't have to allow someone who is spewing vomit which can harm people in.
