Hi all, can I join in this thread? I miscarried at 5.5 weeks last week so am back on the ttc wagon. Not sure if I want to go straight back into ttc or give myself, my body and my emotions a month off. Does ttc straight after mc increase the risk of another mc? I've never had one before so not really sure if it's ok or if I should wait.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about your loss. I also lost my pregnancy around the same gestation as you last month and got another positive a couple of nights ago. My doctor wasn't too concerned about me TTC straight away as my hcg went back to 0 quite quickly. Have you spoken to your gp? Good luck with everything

    Congratulations on your BFP.

I need to have a final blood test on Tuesday to see if my levels have gone back to 0. My gp said to wait a month or 2 before ttc again, not sure if she is being over cautious or if I should wait. I'm impatient and want another BFP straight away. But at the same time don't want anything to increase the risk of another mc.

I totally understand! I'm so scared of having another miscarriage but I'm just too impatient. I didn't want to waste another month. I thought what would the chances be anyway! Surprise surprise. Time will tell I guess.

The cycle before this one i had a chemical pregnancy and my hcg went back to 0 quick and this time around with help i got my positive! Perhaps ask the dr if shes being over cautious or not? Good luck!

Huge congrats @unicornsandrainbows! I don't normally see lines on tests but I saw it clear as day! Congrats! So many BFPs, here's hoping for the rest of us
