So glad this thread is becoming more active. Im so keen for Nov to begin and my first cycle to start. As for our initial GP, we had Dr Gabriel I think, she was a crack up. Asked us separately how often we dtd, and said they had to match or there would be trouble. Then our specialist appeared to be reserved in asking us anything except "have you thought about IVF". Um no.
We are clearly just here for the foodcourt.

Just want to know who is doing this in secret? How do you get around work?

I work very close to clinic so I am ok. Buy my boss has asked if I am ok. But Im a champagne lover and have created a fake bet to put off scent. We are allegedly doing OcSober late.

    Its our secret...😉

Hi Stellargirl! Good luck with ur apptment melb Primary IVF!

Billie2- Oh ive been thinking about what excuses i may to tell to boss to get some time off for ER and ET. Boss already knows we r ttc but he doesnt know (yet) that we're having trouble... ..The unfortunate thing is if we start the cycle in Dec, Im screwed because we will be short staffed at work due to all the annual leave.

I have a friend who is just telling her boss she has a few medical procedures done, no details, so maybe that could be an option if u dont want to divulge too much info.

It is nice to hear ur experiences ladies.

We are having a bet, thats the plan. Delaying Ocsober. I bet on grass growing with work colleagues, so should be sweet. I hope! Im so competitive they may fall for it. They all think my time has passed for babies, Im the oldest in the office (2 shy of 4 0) of 4 women. Its going to be hard with Xmas parties to fool people, so I will have a good go.

Ah Billie2- the bet is a great idea!! You could always say you're on a detox-- thats what I say- then again,.. pple at work don't know Im not really a drinker =)

Just read through your intro as well and looks like our circumstances are very similar-
I'm 32 (this friday) DH is 39. We have a 3 year old son whom we conceived on the 2nd try ( very lucky). We had an emergency casearean due to placenta abruptio. Been ttc for 12 months, had a chemical in Jan - scans and blood tests came back all normal.. so we were put in the 'secondary infertility' pile. Its been very frustrating but luckily I have a group of ladies that I chat to that are also ttc and its helped alot with the support.

Now venturing into the scary world of IVF to have our #2.

Weird isnt it... No problem first up, then all questions and no answers. People stop asking "when are you having #2?" After a few years pass. Only cluey people pick up that having an only child isnt a choice, for us anyway.

I cant wait, 1 week till my nurse appt and a week following that Im starting. My app tells me I am due 16th, and I am clockwork. Mixed emotions. By NYE, there will be lots of champagne or none at all! 🍾❌

    Default Bfp update

Hi everyone. Been a while since i posted but thought id let you know my bfp is still going strong. Im 26 weeks now with my lil boy and although i am achy, still suffering nausea etc i still sometimes cannot believe that the whole ivf thing worked so well. I know alot of ppl who went through a lot more of a rollercoaster treatment than me but i still tackled it and feel immensely fortunate to have found primary ivf and that it worked so smoothly. I believe you are all in really good hands with the team there from dr Gabriel, dr lukic and dr Mcdonald. Plus all the guys behind the scenes. to have got to this stage and be out of pocket less than $1000 too means we have money for maternity leave which is a big relief too. Ive everything crossed that my last trimester goes smoothly and that primaryivf can work their baby magic on all of you ppl out there. 👍

@Billie2 hope you can lock away the champagne for a good 9 mnths! 1 more week for you woohoo!
@sydma - thanks for the update. Congratulations on reaching 26 weeks! I'm so amazed that it worked for you on the first (?) treatment. I'm sorry to hear you are still suffering from the nausea etc but it means that IVF bean of yours is doing really well . We are really glad that Primary IVF is around. We wouldn't have been able to afford the $5000 or so with other clinics.
Just a quick question, do you still go back into Primary IVF for check ups once you get your BFP?

Best wishes for the 3rd trimester and hopefully you continue to come back and update us on your Primary IVF bump
@hopefulangel1987 - I'm sorry I don't have anything to say as I'm not there yet.

Afm, I'm due to have my CD21 bloods this friday and then CD2-5 bloods 16th Nov.
