Hi ladies, does anyone know if the CD 2 and 21 bloods along with CD 8 ultrasound need to be all in the same cycle? The way my cycle is likely to fall this month means all the blood collection centres around me will be closed for the Christmas public holidays! So I'm thinking I'll have to do the CD 2 bloods next month as I don't want to delay the whole thing...does that make sense? Lol😛

@hopefulangel1987 I am truly sorry for this terrible event! I would be as devastated as you..give yourself time to cry, be sad and accept this loss. As the other ladies said, our body knows better than our reasoning so maybe it recognized that something was wrong with the embryo.
We're all strong women for what we're going through here! don't forget you are strong and you will be happy again soon!

I didn't have the best experience. We traveled 800km each way to be rushed through paperwork to sign for IVF without having time to ask questions or if we REALLY needed IVF this time. She was short on time and seemed cranky when I asked questions. So we just signed the paperwork and got out of there. It was really inflexible she said she doesn't trust any other path labs or ultrasound clinics and would prefer we stay in Sydney for the whole cycle up to transfer. And we would have to pick the medication up in person. All of my path forms had my husbands name on them, and some else's date of birth. I was worried if they can't print a form off, i would be worried about getting the right embryo. So cheap IVF would have turned out to be expensive IVF. I'm sure she was having a REALLY bad day as I'd heard excellent reports, but we never returned.

We had our baby through Genea in 2013 and they were so flexible and only had to go down twice. Awesome experience. They were just so expensive.

We tried another clinic only 500km from home and it also didn't compare to Genea but have had an excellent outcome

This is probably the only negative review sorry, just wanted to share my opinion, I was so disappointed.

I don't think it matters at all. Because if you go to see them at CD15, you will go over 2 separate cycles. Its a point in time for hormone reasons, not for a specific cycle. The Xmas break really stuffed me up too. Had to skip 2 cycles till we start again. ☹️
@Danymatthew have you left yet? Travel safe and hope ms doesnt hit you while away. With my son I was at the same stage at Xmas & was hit with the ms bat in the head. Lettuce was my Xmas lunch! Take care xx

It seems my previous post didn't get registered on here..
Anyway.. @hopefulangel1987.. We have decided to go straight to ivf because of the time factor. I know Billie2 and some others have been TTC for longer but we don't want the gap between son and next baby to be any bigger even if its only by a couple of months.. @onedaymaybebaby.. It won't matter. I had to do my bloods over 2 cycles as well.. It just feels longer til the nxt apptment that's all. They really just want to see if baseline hormones and if ur prog is high enough at its peak. I did time my cd21 to be cd23 for the mnth because I knew when I ovulated. Testing at cd21 would mean the prog isn't as high as it should be. @Bindy111.. I'm sorry to hear of ur bad experience, but I hear ya. My first appt wasn't that thorough or nice. Very quick.. In and out sorta thing. I must say that FS was a little better. We are waiting to see how it all pans out. If we don't get a good outcome as well as not 'clicking' with the FS, then we will change clinics. Congratulations on ur positive experience with Genea. I have a few friends who work there but yes.. They are quite expensive. Can I ask when did u see Primary before changing to Genea?

We used Genea Canberra in 2012&2013 being blessed with our girl in October 2013. We had no embryos left and our specialist had left so we thought we would try primary IVF to save some money. We saw primary IVF in May this year in Syd, then July started at albury reproductive who are through Monash IVF. I am currently 9 weeks, so fingers crossed I won't need another clinic good luck, I pray you get some wonderful news soon

@Bindy111 Every experience is welcome.. All about being informed. We need all feedback to be better informed. I was with IVF Australia and wasnt happy at all as I was allowed appts without my partner. He had no understanding of clomid at all when I was put on it despite no SA test and no issues with me. I was in horrific pain at ovulation that I crawled around our home. No support from my FS. I was also unmonitored.

As always I think you get what you pay for. So I agree with you as well. We send our son to a private school for probably the same reason or feeling you went to Genea. We also had him at a Private hosp with a top notch Ob. I would do it again.

But, we are trying IVF from the bottom up. Our son was easily conceived. Ive battled many years to get my other half to agree to IVF. If its next to nothing, that helps my argument and doesn't impose on our lifestyle. That way if we are successful, I can still go private, which I will need being so 'old' fertility wise. Reproductively geriatric I think they call us (35+ believe it or not). Thats what is important to us. The preg & baby care.

Im tough, I can handle home brand, being 1 of 5 kids I was bought up on it 😉.

Merry Xmas special people.. May 2016 bring all our dreams to life.xx

Hi all I haven't been on here for awhile ! Hope everyone is doing well my little girl just turned two in October how time flys ! We were lucky and fell pregnant first ICSI cycle with Genea almost 3 years ago which gave us this little princess. Though very costly can not say one bad thing about Genea. However we are ready for baby 2 and have been trying naturally for 8 months so know it's going to be back to IVF for us. Have been recommended primary IVF the hubby and I have looked at website and costs and thinking this will be a good option for us as financially will save us lots $ hopefully. Looking to try get an appointment end of January beginning February so hoping to least start the process in February . Ah the thought of all those injections again but it's definitely worth it . Hopefully will be ttc with some of you ladies
