Sydma I echo what Tjuls said. Thanks for coming back, we need to hear updates from success stories from our clinic. I cant wait to feel that kick and flutter again. My belly used to dance in meetings at work & made me smile and everyone else point.

Tjuls, best of luck with your testing. Everyone Ive met has been so nice & Ive had a laugh with all of them. What I failed to do was fast for my 21BT (4 vials each for 21day and the 2-5day). The GP was serious when she looked at my insulin results till I laughed and said I had consumed lemonade before I walked in the door before the BT. So I have been made to re-do it. Whoops!!

The specialist told us I might only need 1 injection for ov (?) induction and then do a 5 day transfer. Is this a 'vanilla' plan, or have others at primary experienced a different plan? I have no issues. I take panadol for normal ovulation and clomid nearly floored me in pain. We are male factor..

    Default Good Luck!

I’m also continuing with Primary, had my crio transfer yesterday, and so my TWW started…

(I probably did not update here, I had a MMC at 6 weeks last time, and all was finished for me in early September, then my next cycle started in early Oct, and I’ve started another IVF cycle.)

From my observation, Primary is getting better over time, dealing great with an increased ****** of patients – this time I did not have a separate appointment with nurse before the cycle – just saw the FS, signed the consent with her and then all cycle explanation and schedule was sent us via mail. I love the sms-phone system they have and minimized appointments, and also the early-morning scans which means you don’t have to take a lot of time off…

I have a hormone-supported frozen cycle this time, which means stuffing myself with estrogene and progesterone from both ends – and ladies, I have to say if you will think Crinone gel is a nightmare when you start it – it is not! I have progesterone pessaries now instead of Crinone, and that’s what a nightmare is!

(But everything I can do to have the right result is good, no complaints from me
Just want to wish you good luck Irinko! stay strong and just focus on the purpose of this battle!

Hi @Billie2, I also had the 1st visit with Dr Gabriel, but she didn't ask so many details nor questioned us separately!
We then had all our appointments with Dr George. She was kind and really reassuring...totally a different feeling from the GP visit!
I work very close as well and got exactly the same questions from my boss! I told him there are just minor problems and I'm keeping it general, just saying that I have visits.
I don't drink, so nobody suspects anything! We want to keep this private, but I find it hard not to be able to talk about my feelings and what we have embarked on. I have just a friend who knows and, poor her, she's listening to all my worries!

Billie2 during last appointment the specialist told I will need injections everyday, ovulation induction around day 12 (depending how it goes) and then a 4/5 days transfer. But she told that the injection dosage will be low (I don't really know more). I'll have my nurse appointment next thursday..but I have long cycles so I'm afraid I'll start beg of december. We're male factor too. The "guys" are already frozen, ready for the (short) race!. ..
I'm still a bit scared about the retrieval as the only surgery I've ever had was at age 4! did they tell you will be awake during the procedure? I was told I will be mildly sedated and in 30 min I'll be awake.

I know nothing of the egg retrieval. I am the same, Ive never been sedated in my life. I had my son drug free, so I am quite nervous. My nurse appt is tuesday. We are cycling close enough! I just get overwhelmed by the chat of those in their 2nd+cycle as they know what they are talking about and know too much. The less I know the better I feel. The more detail I know, the more I will compare & question and ultimately stress.

Happy to play dumb in this instance. Less is more.. ??

Hi thanks for the best wishes.hoping ppl on their 2ww are getting through without stressing too much! Impossible i know. I remember having my blood test for the pregnancy test i ended up wandering round the city in a distracted daze and did 10km according to my phone fitness count! In and out of shops looking at clothes that i didn't buy hoping that it would be bfp.the things you do to get thru hey. All those have the egg retrieval at Darlinghurst it was the quickest thing ever. I was worried light sedation meant id feel it but i literally woke up in recovery wondering when it was going to happen and being told its done. Was v v happy with that. nurses were lovely too.didnt have much pain after either though they did only get 7 eggs. After my bfp i went back to primary till around 10 weeks for ultrasound and appointments with dr lukic who gave me crinone to keep pregnancy strong. Whatever they did it all worked so keep up girls it'll be worth it ☺

Oh the tww is horrible isnt it?!!. Im currently on day 20 of a natural cycle or 4 dpo and I'm trying really hard to distract myself.. The only thing thats helping is that I'm actually looking forward to the apptment at the end of the month

Thanks for the reminder @Billie2 - about the fasting for cd21 BT. Now... if only I can find the bloody ( no pun intended) BT request forms!!!. Hopefully I find them in time to do the cd21 bloods.
And I totally agree with you about less is more.. If only I wasn't such control freak and having to want to know about EVERYTHING!!
@sydma - thats reassuring about the EPU- quick and painless sounds good to me

for all of us waiting for our BFP

I assume when meeting with the GP the GP requested blood tests that include immunity to rubella? What did they say about this?
I have low rubella immunity. Had two shots in 2007 and then again 2014 and yet my immunity is still just 21 as of February 2015. Will they do IVF without me getting another booster? I just can't seem to build up immunity.

The bloods are very thorough & rubella is included. Not sure about the levels and if you can continue. GP will answer that for you no drama. I havent had a rubella injection in over 20yrs and I am still immune. The AMH is $60, but you get billed to your home. I had my test 1st Oct & still haven't received the bill.

I do agree that less is more! I'm done with researches, forums, what means what..I decided this time this is the only thread I'm gonna look at!!
It's just stressful and creates lots of worries about the whole process.
For the time being, I'm really happy with your experience @sydma! thanks for reassuring us about the egg retrieval!
I found that keeping my mind & body busy with work, study, workouts doesn't leave me much time for negative thoughts.
Plus, I will start my acupuncture sessions again from next week to relax and boost my chances. It worked for other health problem and I believe it can be a huge help for the 2nd part of the journey! Did anyone consider this too?
