DH doesn't get gifts but does get a lovely Christmas party (all paid for). He has received a few thank you bottles of red throughout the year for going above and beyond, though.

I own a small business and I gave my 3 staff a $150 voucher each.

I work at bunnings and we got rolling backpacks, have used it twice so far they always give useful presents, I've had chopping boards and a really good first aid kit in the past

    Did they take up smoking?

I suspect some smokers say they do so to have a smaller babies but really it's just a cover because they struggle to quit and feel guilty

Got a x-mas party, although the three years I've been here I haven't gone , which probably sounds ungrateful, but a lot of the people I work with aren't exactly nice so I don't see the point.

We do KK every year. This year I got some nice xmas cookie cutters. Got a bottle of wine and some movie tickets from other companies we deal with.

From my company we got a $50 Myer gift card and a BBQ xmas and new years eve. TBH, it would be nice to get a bonus instead of all that stuff, but then again I'm not a social person at all and I'm not close with anyone here so not getting a xmas party or BBQ wouldn't bother me.

I think appreciating staff all year round means more than doing something here and there for xmas. Where I work now it such a hostile place and management thinks doing something end of year is enough to keep morale high. It means nothing if you get treated like rubbish for 99% of the year.

    Sorry for the ramble.
