Well in the tww I suspect
Off to DH specialist appointment today ... Feeling calm at this point but ready for some answers
heading out to dinner after - might be heavy wine drinking to celebrate or drown out some sorrows

@1stTimeMama how exciting for you -fx it's a bfp ! I'll check in on Thursday
well the scan showed no issues - tubes not closed over - all flowing as should be and no swelling etc
should have SA results by end of week
so hopefully that is all good and it's just timing but once DH has the all clear I'll go have some non invasive testing done
bloods , scans etc as I haven't had these done since we first had the vasectomy reversal with on our notes - is 4 yrs in October I nearly feel off the chair
    time has gone so quickly
specialist said he's sorry we're not holding a baby he would of preferred a visit to show of our newborn - which was very sweet of him
Im trying to hold my patience and stay focused - it's just been along time and I'm feeling abit overwhelmed by it all

    have a great weekend X

Hi everyone, looks like this is quite a popular thread so I'm hoping I can get some advice on how long to wait before testing. I'm only in my second month of ttc and my question is, how much can you rely on your luteal phase to know when AF is due? I'm coming to the end of my ttw, but want to hold off testing until I'm sure AF is late. Here's some info about me:

Usual my cycle varies between 29 and 31 days, but last month was only 28 days. I've only been charting for 2 months and FF says I've O'd on cd15 both months (with prominent temp dips the day before O). So does that mean AF is definitely late if it doesn't arrive tomorrow as predicted by FF?

A few things that aren't my imagination, I picked up a cold from a coworker 2dpo, but it has lingered as congestion for over a week now (I hardly ever get sick and can usually shake it off quickly). I also had a second temp dip at 9dpo, which I didn't have last month and I had a clump of pasty cm a few days ago (sorry for tmi!) which I have never had before. My possible imaginary symptom is this weird dull ache in my pelvis over the past few days that sometimes shoots into my groin.

Last month my temp dipped 12dpo followed by spotting that evening and AF the following afternoon. Tomorrow is 13dpo for me and no temp drop or spotting yet but I just don't know how long to wait before testing. FF says to test tomorrow but I don't want to be disappointed and waste tests by testing too early.

    Thanks for your help! 😊

@MrsVZ welcome to the thread 14dpo definitely isn't too early to test. I got my bfp 11dpo. I started spotting thinking I was getting af but when she didn't turn up in full swing the next day i decided to do a test. I personally would be testing tomorrow if af hasn't shown up, what you are describing sounds very promising! Good luck!
@Felicia Glad to hear things seem fine on dhs end, hope the other results come back fine. Hopefully you get a nice bfp before you have to go through any further testing!

Thanks curlybird. I'm more worried about wasting a test haha! Last month I took 3 tests because AF was a little earlier than usual, started with spotting for a day (which I don't usually get) and only stuck around lightly for 2 days followed by more spotting so I wasn't completely convinced. My bbt is not at its peak (although I've read congestion can cause it to be lower than usual) but it is still above my cover line this morning so I think if tomorrow morning is the same then I'll take a test. Would be amazing if it happened this quickly 😊 Thanks again!
