Default Shire Primary School help please! :)

    Hi everyone!

We have recently purchased in Jannali and will be building a house over the next year. Our daughter will be starting primary school in 2016 there but we are both from out of the are so would love some advice on good primary schools in the area please?!

We are zoned for Jannali Primary and Bonnet Bay Primary but we were considering a Catholic primary - maybe St Joseph's in Como?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Not sure if you have already chosen a school but Kareela Public is fantastic! A small school that has a real community feel!

My son is at Gymea North PS, it's a wonderful little school. They are actually having an open day on 20th May, for the new kindy students. I'm sure if you contacted them you'd be able to come along. Website is

I've heard st Joseph's is great. Public school wise Kareela is pretty good. Used to be hard to get into but this year only 17/18 in each kindy class so I should imagine it'd be ok.

I've also just remembered that my friends daughter required an extension programme and they went with a catholic school in Menai, I think. They had a very good programme apparently.
