    Default Bleeding during early pregnancy.

Hi everyone. I've had a bit of spotting over the past couple of weeks, just a day here and there i would have blood when I wiped. I am 9.5 weeks pregnant. I had and ultrasounds at about 7 weeks and everything looked fine, there was s strong heartbeat there. I've had a bit more since and I've booked in for a doctors appointment this afternoon. I'm just wondering if I can request bloods for the next few weeks until I'm due for my next ultrasound or if there would be any sense in that (does hcg level continue to rise significantly at this point in pregnancy). Or what else I could talk to him about for piece of mind. Thanks in advance ladies

    How stressful for you.

If it were me I'd be requesting another scan, it's the best way to see that bub is happily growing in there.

    Good luck!

Was the bub measuring 7 weeks at the scan? Or within 3 days either side

Yea baby was measuring perfectly when I had the 2nd scan (I'd had a scan the week before to confirm dates).

Is the 9.5weeks going by lmp or ovulation/bd day?

I would request an ultrasound, if you can. I've had something similar in the past, one outcome good, one not so good (after seeing hb). I'm sure you'll be fine, it seems so common, but try to get one just for peace of mind! Blood results didn't give us much information, in both scenarios they were normal range and rising nicely. Good luck x

I'd get an ultrasound. I did bleed a fair bit through out my second pregnancy.

I would try and get in for a scan today just to make sure.
If the gestational age matches two weeks before ovulation day and there is a hb then it's promising.
If a fetus is being looked at when someone is unsure of ov date, then it's best to have a couple of scans at 7 and 9 ish to confirm growth. Unfortunately like pp says, a hb means nothing because a hb will unfortunately remain until mc begins in a lot of cases.
    Good luck hun

I had a dating scan and measured at 6 weeks 4 days with a heartbeat. I had another scan 8 days later after my first lot of spotting and measured 7 weeks 5 days with a stronger heartbeat. So according to my dating my dating scan I should be 9 weeks 3 days today. My doctors appointment is at 2:45 today, I doubt I'll be able to get in for a scan anytime today, but I can try for tomorrow.
